Job summary

CareBuilders at Home in the United States seeks compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to help clients live safely, comfortably, and independently at home. You will provide hands-on personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities while maintaining dignity and respect.

This role offers competitive hourly pay ($15.00-$17.00 per hour), weekly pay, flexible scheduling, training, and health benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Previous personal care, companion care, PCA, or caregiving experience preferred.
• Compassionate, empathetic attitude with genuine commitment to caring for others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans, instructions, and client preferences.
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required for the assignment.
• Ability to complete required background checks and drug screening.
• Current TB screening and any health/credentialing documentation required by law or company policy.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting) per care plan.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting independence and dignity.
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, positioning, and non-medical tasks as directed by the care plan.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, and home upkeep.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as requested.
• Build positive relationships with clients and families with professionalism and compassion.
• Observe changes in health or well-being and report to supervisor promptly.
• Follow care plans, safety procedures, policies, and documentation requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who take pride in helping others live safely, comfortably, and independently at home. As a PCA, you will provide hands-on personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities while treating every client with dignity, patience, and respect. Your presence, attention, and kindness can make a meaningful difference in a client's quality of life and provide peace of mind to their family.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs within the scope of the client's care plan.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging each client's independence and dignity.
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, positioning, and other non-medical support as directed by the care plan and applicable training.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings when requested and authorized.
• Develop positive and respectful relationships with clients and their families while consistently demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
• Observe and promptly report changes in a client's health, behavior, condition, or overall well-being to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all care plans, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous personal care, companion care, PCA, or caregiving experience is preferred.

• Current TB screening and any other health or credentialing documentation required by applicable law, company policy, or client assignment.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, company privacy policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
