Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Denver seeks a compassionate Caregiver/PCA to provide at-home support for seniors, including personal care, meals, grooming, and companionship. You will help with daily living activities and maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Covid-19 vaccination card required.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, meals.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and promote wellbeing.
• Offer companionship and participate in activities like reading or games.

As a Caregiver/PCA, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers/PCAs:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
