Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Sumter, SC. This role offers control over your schedule and the chance to balance work with family, school, or other commitments.

You will provide essential in-home care, assist with daily activities, and help keep clients safe and engaged. Training is available online, and Rasmussen University tuition discounts support ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification, preferred.
• Valid SC driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
