Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking compassionate Personal Care Aides to provide one-on-one in-home support to clients in Brookings, SD. Flexible schedules and weekly pay available. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship.

Availability for weekends and holidays is required on alternating weeks. Qualified candidates have at least six months of care experience or a CNA license, must be 18+, valid driver’s license, and two

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a comparable care aide role.
• CNA license or nursing school first semester completed.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and own transportation.
• Two professional references.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• CPR certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Assist with shopping and everyday activities.
• Support clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence.

Skills

What Does a Personal Care Aide Do?

As a Personal Care Aide, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Assisting with shopping and everyday activities
• Supporting clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence

Scheduling Requirement: Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday is required.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Six months experience in a comparable care aide job, current CNA license or completed first semester of nursing school
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and own reliable transportation
• Two professional references
• Successful completion of a background check
• Current CPR certification preferred, but not required
