Job summary

Raleigh Personal Care Aides support seniors and individuals with disabilities in home settings, assisting with daily activities, grooming, hygiene, meal preparation and transportation. The role focuses on maintaining dignity and independence, under supervision and care plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, reporting changes, helping with light housekeeping, and coordinating with nurses, doctors and family members.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Current TB test or health clearance required.
• Background check and drug screening required; E-Verify employment eligibility.
• Ability to pass a basic health and safety screening.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks.
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescribed medication.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Observe and report on each client’s condition to supervisors and care teams.
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures.
