Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide compassionate, one-on-one care in clients' homes. Part-time or PRN schedules with flexible hours and weekly pay are available.

Work involves assisting with hygiene, meals, light housekeeping and transportation support, aiming to preserve clients’ independence and comfort in their own homes. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is required.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a comparable care aide job
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and own reliable transportation
• Two professional references
• Successful completion of a background check
• Current CPR certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming and toileting
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Assisting with shopping and everyday activities
• Supporting clients’ comfort, dignity and independence

Education

CNA license or completion of first nursing school semester

What Does a Personal Care Aide Do?

As a Personal Care Aide, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Assisting with shopping and everyday activities
• Supporting clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence

Scheduling Requirement: Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday is required.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Six months experience in a comparable care aide job, current CNA license or completed first semester of nursing school
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and own reliable transportation
• Two professional references
• Successful completion of a background check
