Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide in Merrillville, IN to help seniors live safely at home. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and support routines such as bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility.

The role offers 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for online training and CEUs. Requirements include a CNA license or HHA certificate, CPR certification preferred, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care and support to seniors in home-based settings.
• Six months healthcare experience preferred; CPR certification beneficial.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, shopping, transportation, companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client status; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment and unobstructed pathways; engage clients with activities.
