Personal Care Aide/Caregiver/Home Health Aide

Responsibilities for a Personal Care Aide include:

• Personal Health Care
• Light Housekeeping
• Simple Meal Preparation
• Assistance with Bathing & Grooming
• Laundry Services
• Transportation
• Companionship

Requirements:

• Ability to assist clients with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor), nail care (excluding trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers
• Able to push and pull a minimum of 100 pounds
• Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
• Ability to navigate tight spaces and move between objects and furniture
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, sit, reach above and below shoulder level, and perform these activities continuously for up to an hour

Additional Requirements:

• Active member on the Health Care Worker Registry
• Two references
• At least 1 year of experience as a homemaker or related supervisory skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Successful background checks
• Completion of IDOA CCP training for Homemaker Supervisor
• Vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work in various client homes
• Strong communication skills for weekly updates with the branch office
