Job summary

Senior Helpers is hiring a Personal Care Aide to assist seniors in their homes in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders as permitted by state regulations.

Training is provided, and the role supports safety, comfort, and independence for clients. We offer flexible schedules, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not required—we'll provide training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Ability to safely lift and assist up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Helping clients move safely around their homes
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Performing light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Offering medication reminders as permitted by state regulations
• Communicating with families and the care team
• Documenting care through our easy-to-use electronic system
