Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Previous experience in home care, nursing home settings, or caregiving is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with members, and families.
• A caring demeanor with a commitment to providing high‑quality personal care services.
• Be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and dependable transportation

Essential Functions

(Those functions that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation).

• Complete documentation as required
• Follow scheduling and tasks assigned by the staffing coordinator
• Assist members with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well‑being of members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for members, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
• Other tasks as assigned
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and other staff.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Stay up to date with Maltreatment Certification
