Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Float Personal Banking Advisor to act as a financial consultant and advocate for members, handling new accounts, loans, and a range of banking products while building lasting relationships.

You will educate members on LMCU products, cross-sell loans, credit cards, mortgages and retirement accounts, and contribute to branch goals with excellent service, attention to detail, and professional communication in a fully on-site, team-focused

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
• Michigan Resident Producer Credit Insurance License required for Michigan-based employees. External candidates must complete licensing and provide proof within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to become registered through NMLS and achieve notary certification through the county.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with members and provide personalized financial solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of LMCU products and services, with the ability to process consumer and business accounts and loans accurately.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and contribute to branch goals in a results-driven environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with calm and professional demeanor.
• Adaptability to changing branch needs and shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Promote strong member interactions by establishing trust and rapport with members.
• Educate and inform members on LMCU products and services that meet their financial goals, identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to identify solutions that meet members' needs while mitigating risks.
• Build relationships with members to ensure high-quality service and retention.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate unfavorable situations professionally.
• Self-manage prioritization and organization of tasks with timely follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements during transactions and data handling.
