Job summary

Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Personal Banker to deliver superior member service through the lending process, from account openings to loan services. You will manage deposits, process loans, conduct loan interviews, and prepare credit applications while promoting and cross-selling our products to strengthen member relationships.

You will assist members in person or electronically, resolve inquiries professionally, and participate in a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience with a full-service financial institution is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong understanding of financial services and products offered by the credit union.
• Knowledge of loan processing functions, requirements and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills; willingness to learn new software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior member service throughout the lending process, from account opening to loan services.
• Manage deposit services including account opening, closure and maintenance.
• Process loans, conduct loan interviews and prepare applications for credit approval.
• Assist members electronically or in person and promote cross-selling of products and services.
• Resolve member issues and inquiries professionally and promptly.
