Fifth Third Bank in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Personal Banker Associate 2. Selected candidates will undergo a 9-week onboarding and education program with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, culminating in certification to become Retail Personal Banker II.

This sales-focused role builds relationships, promotes deposits, loans, and services, cross-selling to an existing customer base, and works closely with partners.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Sales-focused mindset with ability to cross-sell and meet customer needs.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information at a basic level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales approach to build a customer profile and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products and recommend suitable solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Coordinate with partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial) to deliver holistic solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and revenue goals and contribute to P&L.
• Train CSRs on sales and referral processes and best practices.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and own customer issues.
• Follow Bank policies and code of conduct; protect customer confidentiality.
• Assist in the consumer loan and bankcard process from application to close.
• Participate in opening/closing of Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
