What The Role Is

As a Personal Banker, you will provide best-in-class service by processing routine banking transactions and developing deep customer relationships to understand their needs. You will identify and offer appropriate personal and business financial products, educate customers on alternative transaction channels, and work in a cross-functional team within a universal banking model. This position is on-site.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Support transactional needs and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Open and process consumer and small business deposit accounts, providing solutions for cash flow management.
• Work collaboratively with teammates and customers.
• Limited origination of simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards.
• Educate customers on bank channels like online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and ATMs.
• Meet or exceed sales/referral and activity objectives.
• Handle cash and follow balancing procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers.
• Explore customer needs and recommend bank services or refer to appropriate departments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations and stay updated on regulation changes.
• Participate in community activities and financial literacy initiatives to create positive community impacts.

Who You Are

• Basic knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses in a goal-oriented environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to resolve problems and nurture client relationships, even in challenging situations.

Education

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.

Experience

• Previous banking or sales experience in related industries preferred.
• 2+ years of cash handling experience in banking or retail preferred.

Characteristics

• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
