Job description

As a Personal Banker, you will provide best-in-class service by processing routine banking transactions while developing deep customer relationships and understanding their needs. You will identify and offer appropriate personal and business financial products, educate customers on alternative transaction channels, and assist clients with various needs within a universal banking model.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Support transactional needs and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Open and process consumer and small business deposit accounts, providing solutions for managing cash flow.
• Work effectively in a team environment with regular interactions with teammates and customers.
• Assist with the origination of simple consumer lending products, such as personal loans and credit cards.
• Educate customers on bank channels including online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and ATMs.
• Meet or exceed individual sales and referral objectives as measured by a scorecard.
• Handle cash and adhere to balancing procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers effectively.
• Explore financial needs and recommend bank services or refer customers to appropriate departments.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations and stay updated on regulation changes.
• Contribute to community initiatives like CRA activities and financial literacy programs.

Who You Are

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• Previous banking or sales experience in retail, business, or other industries preferred.
• 1-year cash handling experience in banking or retail preferred; 2+ years for level II.
• Basic knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses.
• Excellent communication skills; able to solve problems and nurture relationships, even in challenging situations.
• No S.A.F.E. registration required at employment start.
• Reliable attendance and cooperative work style.
