Job summary

First Bank (FBNC) is seeking a Personal Banker I to assess customers' financial needs and recommend suitable products and services. Under supervision, you will generate leads, build relationships, and deliver a clear, simple customer experience at the service window and through needs assessment and sales.

The role requires 1–3 years of banking or related customer contact/sales experience, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in teller or customer contact/sales roles is desirable.
• Good knowledge of bank products and services and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Personal Banker and Service Representative functions to deliver efficient service.
• Provide transactional support to Tellers and perform dual control as applicable.
• Open personal and business accounts and prepare related documentation.
• Input and close loan applications including lines of credit and cards.
• Assist customers with requests, complaints, and follow-up to resolve matters.
• Process deposits, debit/credit cards, wires, and other branch transactions.
• Maintain security procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Interact with customers in person or by phone and support multiple branches.
