Job summary

OceanFirst Bank in Perth Amboy, NJ is seeking a Full Time Personal Banker. You will accurately process routine financial transactions, deliver personalized service, and help grow customer relationships while meeting sales and service goals.

You’ll participate in a two-week training and be involved in cross-selling bank products, with opportunities for growth and on-site facilities at headquarter offices. 2–3 years' customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent sales and service.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of standard office equipment; ability to learn banking software.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules to meet branch needs.
• Valid NMLS Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally while assisting them to meet their needs.
• Balance cash drawer and perform teller transactions accurately per policy.
• Promote Bank, Wealth and digital products to customers and prospects.
• Meet or exceed sales goals for bank products and referrals.
• Provide notary services if licensed and support branch operations as needed.
