Job summary

First National Bank Texas is seeking a customer service oriented Teller to handle cash receipts and payments in a high-volume branch. You will evaluate customer needs, promote banking products, and maintain accurate daily balancing.

Spanish-speaking customers are part of the client base, so bilingual communication is a plus. The role requires standing for extended periods, following bank policies, and collaborating with supervisors to meet service and sales targets.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to process deposits/payments and balance daily transactions accurately.
• Proactively cross-sell bank services to customers.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow established policies and supervisor directions.
• Achieve monthly new account production targets.
• In-store prospecting in a sales environment.
• Process deposits and payouts, balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks, verify amounts and endorsements.
• Guard against counterfeit checks and IDs.
• Enter transactions and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Provide services to a diverse customer base including Spanish speakers.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
• Attendance and punctuality; approval limits based on authority levels.
