Job summary

OceanFirst Bank in Tinton Falls, NJ is seeking a Personal Banker to provide personalized quality service, process routine financial transactions, and help drive branch sales and customer retention.

You will greet customers, open basic accounts, cross-sell banking products, and support branch operations while ensuring compliance and accurate cash handling. The role includes a training program and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Excellent sales and service.
• Strong basic math skills.
• 2-3 years' experience in direct customer service with 1-year cash handling.
• Prior sales experience in retail banking is preferred.
• Valid NMLS Registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in selecting appropriate products and services.
• Balance and prove cash drawer; handle teller duties and deposits.
• Promote Bank, Wealth, and digital products to customers and prospects.
• Meet and exceed sales and referral goals for various products.
• Provide notary services if licensed.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with branch operations and act as Branch Supervisor as needed.
