Job summary

OceanFirst Bank in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a full-time Personal Banker to join our branch team. You will process transactions, refer customers to specialists, and help grow branch sales while delivering personalized service. Training is a two-week program upon hire.

You will balance tills, handle deposits and withdrawals, open accounts, and support customers with digital channels. Qualified candidates have 2-3 years in customer service, basic math, strong communication, and good computer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years' experience in a direct customer service capacity, with 1-year prior cash handling, preferably in a retail banking environment.
• Prior experience in sales capacity, preferably in a retail banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and process transactions accurately to meet service standards.
• Identify customer needs and refer to Personal Banker staff for specialist services.
• Balance and secure drawers, process deposits/withdrawals, and handle money orders and checks.
• Refer potential clients to appropriate banking products and services.
• Support outbound calls and migrate customers to digital channels.
