Position Type: Part Time - 20 hours per week

Requirements

• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team and get along with co-workers
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules may change based on business needs
• High school diploma, high school equivalency, or current high school attendance
• At least 18 years of age
• Successful background check as per company policy

Job Description

Under immediate supervision, provides exceptional customer service involving cash receipt and payment in a high-volume sales environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Following bank policies and supervisor directives
2. Achieving monthly new account production targets
3. Processing deposits and payouts accurately and balancing daily transactions
4. Verifying cash and checks, including endorsements and counterfeit detection
5. Entering transactions into the computer and issuing receipts
6. Selling and preparing financial products such as money orders, cashier's checks, wires, bonds, travelers' checks, and CDs
7. Processing Western Union wires and cash advances
8. Cross-selling bank services and products
9. Serving a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers
10. Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Standing or walking for extended periods
• Ability to work in a high-volume, stressful, and noisy environment
• Operating computers and office equipment
• Lifting up to 25 lbs
