Overview

Selected candidates will undergo a 4-8 week onboarding and education program, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in certification to demonstrate the skills necessary for a Retail Personal Banker I role. This position focuses on using the consultative sales process to identify and meet customers' financial needs, with responsibilities including acquiring new households, deepening existing relationships, processing teller transactions, and collaborating with platform staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize consultative sales and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers for financial reviews using approved marketing tools.
• Focus on cross-selling and outside sales activities, including community events.
• Build relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and sales goals, contributing to revenue growth.
• Guide Customer Service Representatives on sales and referral processes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with professionalism and confidence.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and policies.
• Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes, from application to closing.
• Assist in opening/closing Financial Centers or Bank Marts as directed.
• Stay updated on retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.

Qualifications

• College degree, relevant work experience, or a combination of both.
• Experience in financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities and analyze financial information.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail policies and sound judgment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at employment.
