Job summary

Arbor Financial Credit Union in Otsego, MI is hiring a part-time Personal Banker to deliver friendly, expert service and tailored financial solutions to members.

You’ll support a range of needs including accounts, loans, and digital banking in a collaborative setting, with a growth track to Personal Banker II and potential promotions within other departments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in banking/financial services.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic computer operation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Bonding ability.
• Preferred: Fiserv DNA; Associate or Bachelor’s degree; Lending experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with members to understand financial needs and recommend products/services.
• Open and maintain various account types (checking, savings, IRAs, trusts).
• Assist members with transactions, loan applications, and account inquiries, debit card replacements, online banking, and direct deposit letters.
• Educate members in using digital banking tools and services.
• Resolve account issues and debit card disputes efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support branch operations through clerical tasks and audits.

Starting Wage: $19.00/ hour, based on experience

As a part-time Personal Banker, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor, delivering friendly, expert service and tailored financial solutions to help our members grow their financial wellbeing. You’ll support a range of member banking needs—including account management, loans, and digital banking—in a collaborative, professional setting.

What You’ll Do

• Build strong relationships with members to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate products/services.

Is This You?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in banking/financial services
• Strong communication/interpersonal, attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic computer operation
• Professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities based on member needs
• Ability to be bonded
• Preferred But Not Required: Proficiency with Fiserv DNA; Associate or Bachelor’s degree (business, finance, or related); Experience with lending; Financial products/services knowledge

Hours: Flexible schedule 24-28 hours per week, with one Saturday off each month
