Job summary

Barclay House of Stuart is seeking a Personal Assistant to support residents in our assisted living community. The role covers companionship, daily living activities, light housekeeping, and helping with meals, with shift hours 3p–11p.

The candidate should have a caring heart, a High School Diploma or GED, and ideally a CNA certification. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and flexibility for weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and activities of daily living support.
• Report changes in health and record progress on daily sheets.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement activities.
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with dining and meal times as directed by leadership.
• Engage residents with meaningful activities to promote joy.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for Barclay House of Stuart

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
