Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Aiken, a senior living residence, to provide compassionate care and daily living support in a comfortable, resort-style setting.

Responsibilities include companionship, health-status reporting, memory and activity programs, light housekeeping, and dining assistance to enhance residents’ wellbeing. A caring heart and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred but not required in all states.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with older adults is a plus.
• Willingness to serve others with a caring heart.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) to residents.
• Report health changes and record daily progress on data sheets.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with dining and keep residents engaged and happy.
• Support residents in activities to promote wellness and safety.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Aiken

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
