Job summary

Jimmy John's Florence, AL is seeking a PIC (Person In Charge) to partner with the General Manager to oversee daily store operations, uphold 100% integrity, and lead by example. The PIC ensures a high standard of service and a clean, efficient store environment.

The PIC will greet customers, manage cash, supervise shifts, operate food prep equipment, and train team members to deliver an excellent experience. Must be 18+, able to work 40+ hours, and lift 30-40 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

Job description

A PIC (Person In Charge) is similar to a 2nd Assistant Manager. PIC's help oversee in-store operations alongside the General Manager. The PIC plays a major role in ensuring the store is in exceptional order and that all employees are performing duties properly and efficiently. PIC must lead by example and execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity. As an PIC, your attitude needs to be enthusiastic, friendly, and positive.

Essential Functions include:

• Responsible for customer product and service standards

• Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer and store experience
• Greet and thank every customer with a smile and eye contact
• Execute quality store operations
• Clean store, small wares, merchandise and physical plant as necessary
• Must be able to operate food preparation machinery
• Adhere to all food, safety and security guidelines
• Must be able to operate cash register and handle cash transactions while adhering to all cash handling policies

Requirements:

• Ability to work a 40+ hour week
• At least 18 years of age, with valid driver license and clean driving record
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Must be able to perform, teach and train all aspects of Assistant Manager, PIC, InShopper and Delivery Driver positions, as needed
• Ability to handle fast-paced and high stress situations in the store
• Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
• Willing to coach and task-manage employees on store operations

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver license, car and clean driving record
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
