Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Persian/Farsi Instructor at the Offutt Language Learning Center in Bellevue, NE to teach adult professional students and develop or modify language training materials.

The role requires ILRT level 3+ in Persian and strong English, US citizenship, and at least 1 year of instruction experience; 4+ years with a degree, or 4+ with no degree, are acceptable. The position involves creating and adapting courseware for government approval.

Qualifications

• ILRT level 3 or higher in Persian/Farsi and advanced English (ILRT 2+).
• Bachelor's degree in Persian/Farsi, applied linguistics, or language teaching preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience (8+ years without a degree). Alternative: associate degree + 6+ years.
• 1+ years' experience providing language instruction.
• Expert knowledge of Persian/Farsi including speaking, grammar, phonology, linguistic functions.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide global language, cryptologic, language, and cultural training to military forces and civilian personnel via classroom instruction, materials, technology-based instruction, and distributed learning.
• Develop and integrate new global and cryptologic training materials, curriculum, and courseware for US Government approval.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet student language proficiency goals, learning styles, and time constraints.
