Job summary

Leidos seeks a Persian/Farsi Instructor for the Offutt Language Learning Center in Bellevue, NE. You will teach adult professional students and develop or modify language training materials to advance government and military language capabilities.

Qualifications

• ILRT level 3 or higher Persian/Farsi and an advanced working proficiency in English (ILRT 2+ DLPT 4).
• Bachelor’s degree in Persian/Farsi, applied linguistics, or language teaching preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience (8+ years without a degree). Alternatively, an associate degree plus 6+ years of related experience is acceptable.
• 1 or more years’ experience providing language or relation instruction.
• Expert knowledge of Persian/Farsi including speaking, grammar, phonology, and linguistic functions.
• Instructional Systems Design experience preferred.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide global language, cryptologic, language, and cultural training to military forces and civilian personnel via traditional classroom instruction, written materials, technology-based instruction, and distributed learning services.
• Develop and integrate new global and cryptologic training materials, curriculum, and courseware for approval of US Government.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet student language proficiency goals, learning styles, and time constraints.
