Job summary

CPH in Sanford, FL is seeking a skilled Permit Coordinator to manage the full permitting process for projects. You will prepare, submit, track, and secure approvals across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve AHJ issues, maintain permit trackers, and identify risks early to avoid delays. Strong communication and time-management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction, architecture, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, land development, zoning regulations, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Research AHJ requirements for permits, plan reviews, inspections, fees, timelines, and submittal formats.
• Contact municipalities, counties, fire departments, utilities, and other agencies to confirm project-specific requirements.
• Prepare, organize, and submit permit packages.
• Track permit status, comments, revisions, approvals, expirations, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, construction, and client teams to resolve AHJ issues.
• Maintain permit trackers, jurisdiction databases, documentation, and project records.
• Identify risks early, such as zoning restrictions, long lead times, or missing documentation.
• Ensure that project teams understand what is required before permit submittal.
