Job summary

CPH is seeking a skilled Permit Coordinator in Tampa, FL to manage the full permitting process across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with municipal agencies, engineers, and clients.

Open to candidates in Tampa, Lakeland, Miami, or Sanford, FL, with a focus on building/zoning knowledge and proactive risk management to meet project schedules and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, zoning, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements.
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Experience liaising with government agencies and clients.

Responsibilities

• Research AHJ requirements for permits, plan reviews, inspections, and timelines.
• Contact municipalities, counties, and fire departments to confirm project-specific requirements.
• Prepare, organize, and submit permit packages.
• Track permit status, comments, and expirations; manage risk.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, construction teams, and clients.
• Maintain permit trackers and project records; ensure compliance.
