Job summary

Pike Electric is seeking a Permit Coordinator to oversee permitting for local accounts. The role involves compiling permit packets, preparing applications, and liaising with engineers and clients to minimize turnaround times.

Requirements include 5 years of road right-of-way permitting experience, blueprint reading, AutoCAD/Geomedia familiarity, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
• 5 years of permitting work experience in road right-of-way, reading and developing permit drawings.
• Familiar with drawing software tools such as AutoCAD and Geomedia platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and take initiative.
• Able to read blueprints and plot plans.
• Detail-oriented team player in fast-paced environment with heavy workload.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Excellent follow-up and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with peer team members on schedule, delivery and status of all permits.
• Obtain documents from Engineers to facilitate permit applications.
• Serve as liaison between the company and client for permits and approvals.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to support agencies/boards.
• Review plans for correct revision dates and permit details.
• Update and monitor status in the work management system.
