Job summary

Tri-State Water, Power & Air is seeking a detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator to support our Chicago, IL operations. You will manage permits, licenses, and inspections, staying on top of regulatory requirements to keep projects moving smoothly.

This role partners with municipal offices, internal teams, and homeowners; you’ll document everything, troubleshoot delays, and help ensure on-time installation. We offer full benefits and opportunities for growth in a team that values collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in permitting, construction coordination, or home services (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of permitting processes and working with local municipalities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, track, and maintain permits, licenses, and inspection approvals to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate with municipal offices to move permit applications forward and troubleshoot delays.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners, keeping them informed and supported throughout the permitting and installation process.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and approvals.
  • Identify and resolve permit-related roadblocks to avoid project delays.
  • Work with internal departments, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth project flow.

What You’ll Do:
