Job summary

The City of Goodyear is seeking a Support Services Manager to lead the Development Services Department's development center and administrative services. The role oversees permitting, plan review routing, inspections coordination, fee collection and reconciliation, customer service, records, and office operations.

Qualifications

• Formal Education/Knowledge: Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum three years experience in a related field.
• Certifications and Other Requirements: Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Direct, technical, and functional supervision over administrative and support personnel; training and evaluating staff; establishing performance objectives.
• Oversees programs to develop, maintain, measure, and improve safety, training, and emergency preparedness within the department.
• Develops and administers the budget by approving expenditures and monitoring budgets at the department level.
• Supervises all financial transactions for the department and coordinates with the Finance Department.
• Assists leadership by tracking expenditures, requesting reimbursements, and maintaining grant documentation.
• Plans division goals and long-term strategic planning for the Support Services Division.
• Provides oversight for customer service operations, office management, and records management.
• Assists the Director by managing special operational and strategic projects as needed.
