The City of Goodyear is seeking a Support Services Manager to lead the Development Services Department's support and administrative services. You will oversee budgeting, permitting, plan review routing, inspections coordination, and customer service; ensuring accurate handoffs and clear information for residents and businesses.

The role requires working knowledge of permitting and financial software, with responsibility for budgeting, staff coaching, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Three years experience in a related field.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read budget reports, technical manuals, policy and procedure documents.
• Strong math and financial analysis skills.
• Clear written English with proper grammar.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative and support personnel, provide training, and evaluate performance.
• Oversee safety, training, and emergency preparedness programs within the division.
• Administer the department budget and monitor expenditures; participate in budget meetings.
• Manage financial transactions and work with Finance on sound practices.
• Track expenditures, reimbursements, and document grants.
• Lead long-term strategic planning and short-term operational planning for the division.
• Oversee customer service operations, office management, and records management.
• Assist leadership with special operational and strategic projects.
