KB Home, a leading homebuilder, seeks a Permit Specialist to manage permitting activities, coordinate municipal approvals, and maintain project documentation. You will liaise with internal teams, government agencies, utilities, and partners to move communities from planning to production.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive communication in a fast-paced environment supporting successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years of administrative experience in a professional office environment.
• Experience in homebuilding, land development, or permitting preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submission, tracking, and approval of building permits with local municipalities.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, waivers, maps, and plan revisions.
• Monitor permit status and follow up with agencies to secure timely approvals.
• Maintain organized project files and upload documents into the DMS.
• Support due diligence and land development coordination with internal teams.
• Generate reports and maintain project records for land development initiatives.
• Represent the organization professionally with municipalities, utilities, and external partners.
