As a Permits Clerk at Lone Star Transportation, you will coordinate pilot car arrangements for permitted oversize and overweight loads. You will collaborate with drivers, internal team members, and pilot car companies to support accurate and timely travel arrangements. This position reviews and processes pilot car invoices and verifies that required documentation is complete and accurate. The role requires effective communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage changing priorities and competing deadlines.
Your Responsibilities
- Pilot Car Coordination // Collaborate with drivers and internal team members to arrange pilot car services for permitted loads
- Service Arrangements // Assist pilot car companies with the information and arrangements needed to support oversize and overweight load travel
- Invoice Processing // Review, approve, and process pilot car invoices for payment
- Document Verification // Verify that required paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted for pilot car coordination
- Operational Support // Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent, and no prior related experience is required. An equivalent combination may be considered.

- Problem Solving // Proven ability to solve complex problems and exercise sound judgment
- Schedule Availability // Ability to work rotating Saturdays when required
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in transportation or an office environment.

Salary and Schedule
- Salary // Pay will be competitive and based on experience
- Schedule // This position is located in Fort Worth, TX and is on-site. The working days are Monday-Friday, and the working hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
