Willdan Engineering has a current opening for a Permit Technician in Moreno Valley, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Customer support at the counter and over the phone.
2. Permit application review to ensure completeness and accuracy.
3. Calculation of permit fees.
4. Building permit processing and issuance.
5. Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to permit issuance.
6. Public assistance in completing permit applications.
7. Verification that projects have obtained all necessary approvals prior to permit issuance.
8. Applicant notification when construction documents and/or permits are ready for pick-up or issuance.
9. Coordination and routing of construction documents to the appropriate staff for plan review and approval.
10. Resolution of resident inquiries/complaints.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

1. International Code Council (ICC) Combination Certification (Commercial, Residential, and associated Trades).
2. Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
3. Must have ICC Certification and/or municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician).
4. One (1) or more years of experience as a Permit Technician a MUST.
5. Knowledge of various permitting software is a plus.
