Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Willdan is a Municipal Services Firm with over 60 years of providing engineering, planning, building, and consulting services to government agencies. Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is hiring ICC Permit Technicians in the Paramount, CA area.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Customer support at the counter and over the phone.
• Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Calculate permit fees.
• Process and issue building permits.
• Ensure all conditions of approvals are met before permit issuance.
• Assist the public in completing permit applications.
• Verify projects have obtained all necessary approvals prior to permit issuance.
• Notify applicants when permits and documents are ready for pickup or issuance.
• Coordinate and route construction documents for review and approval.
• Address resident inquiries and complaints.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• ICC Certification and/or municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Permit Technician.
• Knowledge of permitting software is a plus.
