We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Permit Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters to work on diverse assignments. You’ll be part of a respected team with resources and exciting projects to keep you engaged.

Job Requirements

• Interfacing with customers to service their building department needs.
• Issuing and tracking permits through the permitting process, from application to permit closure.
• Maintaining organized files, reports, manuals, blueprints, and other data.
• Collaborating with plans examiners and inspectors to develop and ensure consistent processes.

Skills/Knowledge

• Positive interaction with staff, the public, contractors, and government entities.
• Good time management, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties requiring judgment and technical knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and permitting software.

Education/Experience

• Minimum 2 years of administrative/customer service experience.
• Building/construction knowledge or background preferred.
• Permitting or municipal experience is a plus.
• ICC Permit Technician Certification is advantageous.
