Job summary

SAFEbuilt is hiring a Permit Technician in Chambersburg, PA to support our community development team. You will serve as the primary contact for customers, process applications, coordinate plan reviews and inspections, and assist with permit closeout.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of administrative or customer service experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role offers hourly pay of $20–$22 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative, office support, or customer service experience.
• Experience working directly with customers in an office/government setting is preferred.
• Experience with permit processing or related administrative processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, assisting with permitting processes.
• Provide administrative support during the permitting process: applications, data entry, tracking, plan review coordination, inspections, permits, closeout.
• Maintain organized records: permit files, correspondence, inspection reports, plans, drawings, references.
