SAFEbuilt, Inc. is seeking a Permit Technician to provide customer service and administrative support for the building department in Lake Geneva, WI.

The role involves handling permit applications, plan reviews, inspections, and record management. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of administrative support or customer service experience, strong MS Office and permitting software skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative support and/or customer service experience required.
• Accounts Receivable/billing experience is a plus.
• Permit Technician experience preferred.
• Municipal experience preferred.
• ICC Permit Technician Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with all customers to service their building department related needs
• Issuing and/or tracking permits through the permitting process, beginning with application acceptance, plan review, inspections and permit closure.
• Establishing and maintaining systems to ensure that all files, letters, reference manuals, field inspection reports, permit files, blueprints, drawings, and other data or material is maintained in an organized fashion
• Working with plans examiners and inspectors throughout the company to develop and ensure consistent processes.
• Assisting with public record requests and record conversion.
