Job summary

AMH is seeking a Permit/Starts Coordinator in Denver to manage the permit lifecycle for new homes. You will coordinate submittals, gather required documents, monitor timelines, and liaise with vendors and stakeholders to ensure complete permit packages.

You will also organize pre-start packages, audit permit budgets, and process payments to municipalities and third-party vendors. This role supports frame walks, community prep, and collaboration across product, purchasing, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of permits coordination, project management or related experience.
• Experience in Real Estate Development or Home Building industry preferred.
• Intermediate ability to read civil engineering, land development, and architectural plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute new home permit submittal, gather documents for permits.
• Monitor submittal timelines and manage document controls with vendors.
• Organize and process pre-start packages including permits and plans.
• Audit permit budgets and process payments to municipalities and vendors.
• Maintain development project plans, update schedules, timelines and milestones.
• Administer frame walk process and coordinate revisions with product manager.
• Manage community prep, vendor selection, budgeting, and design requirements.
