As a Permit Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our HVAC and Plumbing operations by coordinating permits, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with local municipalities and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Managers, Permit Coordinators, and Installation Teams to learn workflows, processes, and industry best practices
• Manage and track residential HVAC and plumbing permit applications
• Develop proficiency with permitting systems, municipal requirements, and company procedures
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local building departments and permitting agencies
• Ensure permit documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
• Follow up on permit requests and active cases to keep projects moving forward efficiently
• Document permit status updates and communicate progress with internal teams
• Gather, organize, and submit paperwork required by local municipalities
• Coordinate with multiple departments to facilitate smooth project execution
• Retrieve approved permits within designated turnaround times
• Assist with permit packet preparation, delivery, mailing, and tracking
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation
• Process and track permit-related expenses in accordance with company accounting procedures
• Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, municipalities, and employees
