Job summary

Mungo Homes in Myrtle Beach, SC is hiring a Permit Specialist to manage start packages and obtain construction permits. You will assemble documents such as permits, plans, options sheets, and feature sheets for new homes/subdivisions, and coordinate with surveyors and authorities.

This role requires strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel locally as needed. An eye for detail and organized file maintenance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related training/experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and KOVA software.
• Valid state driver’s license and state-required automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute start packages for all new homes/subdivisions to include permits, plans, options, and feature sheets.
• Request surveyor maps and permits; manage fees and pickup of permits.
• Track and respond to permitting issues and maintain house construction files.
• Travel within the local area as required.
• Request water and sewer certificates and service as needed.

Mungo Homes has a new opening for a Permit Specialist in our Myrtle Beach, SC market!This position is responsible for creating all new start packages as well as applying for and obtaining necessary permitting for construction purposes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (performs other duties as assigned)Create and distribute start packages for all new homes/subdivisions to include: building permits, plat plans, plans marked w/applicable options, selected options detail sheet, cabinet & flooring sheets, flatwork/sod calculation sheet, and community standard features sheet.Request surveyor maps as required.Request permits for new starts; request and submit appropriate fees and pick up permits.Track and respond to permitting issues as required.Maintain house construction files.Travel within the local area as required.Request water and sewer certificates and serviceQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
