Wescom Inc. is seeking an experienced Permian Electrical Operations Manager to lead electrical operations across the Permian Basin.

The role demands strong leadership, deep electrical knowledge, and basic automation understanding, with a focus on safety, profitability, and customer relationships. You will manage projects from award to closeout, develop future leaders, and partner with Safety, Assets, and Automation teams to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of electrical crews or field operations.
• Strong electrical knowledge with oil and gas experience preferred.
• Basic automation and controls knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and resources.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and driving requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible leadership to electrical supervisors, foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and other team members.
• Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, professionalism, customer service, and follow-through.
• Coach and develop supervisors and field leaders, identifying employees ready for increased responsibility.
• Maintain a strong field presence by visiting projects, interacting with crews, and meeting with customer representatives.
• Provide electrical technical leadership and quality oversight while supporting supervisors and field employees with complex troubleshooting.
• Maintain basic working knowledge of automation and controls, including PLC systems, instrumentation, VFDs, and communications.
• Manage projects from award through completion, coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, schedules, drawings, submittals, RFIs, quality, and project closeout.
• Plan and allocate resources across projects while addressing manpower, scheduling, productivity, quality, and execution concerns.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs for clear expectations and performance.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through prompt communication and reliable execution.
• Support estimating, proposal development, project selection, and identification of work that fits Wescom’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with Safety, Assets, Automation, People, and other Wescom divisions to support project execution.
• Conduct effective operational and crew meetings with clear action items and accountability.
• Be an active safety role model and support Stop Work Authority when appropriate.
