Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a program leader to oversee two Permanent Supportive Housing programs in the Kansas City area. This role drives program strategy, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with HUD requirements while coordinating with partner agencies and landlords.

Responsibilities include staffing supervision, data reporting, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration to meet community needs and funder expectations. Strong leadership and fiscal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years supervisory experience for Bachelor’s degree; 2 years for Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall implementation and execution of two PSH programs.
• Ensure fiscal stewardship, financial controls, and HUD compliance.
• Develop and maintain program goals, work plans, and metrics.
• Supervise program staff and volunteers; recruit and hire as needed.
• Compile monthly program statistics and prepare reports.
• Monitor HUD performance measures and implement program changes.
