Job summary

The Salvation Army in Kansas City is seeking a Program Manager to oversee two Permanent Supportive Housing programs. You will lead program operations, staff supervision, and cross-sector collaboration to meet funder requirements and improve participant outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervision, budget monitoring, reporting, and ensuring HUD compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years with 5 years supervisory experience for Bachelor’s level; 2+ years for Master’s level.
• Certifications/Licenses: None.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall implementation and execution of two PSH programs.
• Direct supervision of all program staff and volunteers; participate in hiring decisions.
• FYI: Ensure HUD funding compliance, financial controls, and budget adherence.
• Develop program goals, work plans, performance metrics, and operational strategies.
• Coordinate with community partners and funders; manage contracts and leases.
