Primary duties include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and providing interventions in acute care and outpatient settings. The role includes supervising assistants, coordinating care with other professionals, educating patients and families, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Active OT license (OTR) is required.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• BLS is highly preferred within one month of hire.
• AOTA membership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using standard assessment techniques and determine needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on orders and goals.

Position Requirements:

Job Description:

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, patient goals, and clinical findings.
  
• Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve functional independence and quality of life.
  
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and safety recommendations.
  
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, therapy aides, and students in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
  
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
  
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
