Job summary

Our Community Our Kids (OCOK) seeks a Lead Trainer to design and deliver permanency training for new and tenured staff, collaborating with the Training Director and Supervisor across multiple Texas counties. You will plan, conduct, and facilitate advanced Community-Based Care trainings aligned with performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or leadership/management.
• At least two years in a child-welfare related role or child welfare trainer position.
• One year in conducting in-person training with multiple delivery methods (video conferencing, online, blended, webinar).
• Adequate knowledge of learning management software; designing curricula and coordinating training events.
• Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Moodle, Canva, Dropbox or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and developmental needs of staff in permanency roles.
• Translate permanency requirements into trainings for new and tenured staff.
• Manage the mentoring program—recruitment, training, pairing and tracking.
• Provide support to mentors and protégés during onboarding and training.
• Maintain consistent communication with mentors, supervisors, HR and Directors.
• Deliver training courses for new hires and continuing staff.
• Attend work as needed and support after-hours work when required.
