Job summary

Our Community Our Kids seeks a Training Supervisor to design and conduct permanency training programs for new and tenured staff, in collaboration with the OCOK Training Director. This position plans, conducts, and facilitates highly specialized Community-Based Care training aligned with performance-based strategies for child safety, well-being, and permanency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a social service or organizational leadership/management field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years’ experience in a child-welfare related role or child welfare trainer position.
• At least one year of supervision experience, preferred.
• Experience delivering in-person training and using video conferencing, online, blended, and/or webinar.
• Familiarity with learning management software and coordinating training events.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and developmental needs of staff in various Permanency positions.
• Translate Permanency requirements into trainings that prepare new employees for field success and current employees for future steps.
• Manage the mentoring program – recruitment, training, pairing and tracking.
• Provide support to mentors and proteges during onboarding and training.
• Maintain professional communication with OCOK mentors, supervisors, HR and Directors.
• Evaluate mentor and protégé performance through individual meetings.
• Assist with building Permanency training programs and plans.
• Select training methods and content sources.
• Create skill practice exercises and pacing for training.
• Deliver training courses for new hires and continuing staff.
• Develop ongoing training opportunities for Permanency staff and others.
